Mr. Monteith is an executive board member and was involved in the creation of the Hampton Education Foundation in 2001. Mr. Monteith has extensive experience in the management of governmental, not-for-profit and profit making organizations. He has held senior management roles at both the local and the federal levels of government.
Mr. Monteith was a consultant to Vice President Al Gore assisting the Federal Government to implement changes to improve performance and reduce costs. Additionally he has served as a Senior Fellow with the Annie E. Casey Foundation, a large philanthropic organization focusing on the strengthening of youth and families in America.
Mr. Monteith has also served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Corolla Company (a for profit youth oriented retail organization). He currently runs a private consulting business focusing on training in the areas of civic engagement and community building. Throughout his career Mr. Monteith has always focused on the importance of strong families growing strong children.
